Missions Organizations

Part of Ignite’s vision is to expose students to as many different potential areas of missions involvement as possible. Through this, we hope to connect God’s people, each with their unique gifts and passions, to the various opportunities to serve in South Africa and beyond. To this end, various missions organizations will be present at Ignite to share the work that they are involved in and to provide an opportunity for them to inform and network with students who may potentially partner with them. The following organizations are presently on our list:

AIM

AIM

Africa Inland Mission is  an international, nondenominational mission organization.  AIM offers three categories of ministry through which you can serve. You may serve as a short termer (8 weeks to a year); full term (one year or longer) and TIMO where we offer you an opportunity to be equipped for a lifetime of ministry by joining a two or three year outreach team among an unreached people group.  All opportunities have the same mission or central ministry focus.

Our Mission:  With priority for the unreached, Christ-centred church communities among all the peoples of Africa demonstrate transformed lives that proclaim Christ.

Our Central Ministry Focus:  Each one of us does one of these as our primary ministry:

  1. Disciple-making among unreached African people groups
  2. Mobilising local churches and believers to disciple-making among unreached African people groups
  3. Equipping African church leaders
  4. Serving and supporting those engaged in 1,2 and 3

The closest mobilising office is in Plumstead, Cape Town and you may contact the Personnel Officer, Kathy at: personnel.za@aimint.org (or sms or whatsapp on 071 424 5770)
